I spent many hours last year trying to photograph lightning with no success. Tonight while shooting some awesome storm clouds rolling over, one of my shots had a little bit of lightning in the upper right corner of the picture. I didn’t even know it until I got home and looked the shots over. I’ve always been fascinated with photographs of lightning and have seen some awesome shots featured at the photography sites I hang out at. It’s something I would definitely want to have a lot of in my portfolio.

Also got some shots of a rainbow. The picture doesn’t do it justice. This is one of the brightest rainbows I have ever seen.

If you want to see a few more weather shots from tonight look here.
Which if true makes it by far the warmest day we’ve experienced this year. However, weather reports also state we have some thunder storms headed our way.
But I know what your really asking yourself now. What is ForecastFox? Well, it’s a FireFox extension that gives you local weather information. I like it, except for the little pop-ups, which I’m sure(hoping) can be disabled. Find more info on it here.
The upcoming next release of Ubuntu Linux has reached release candidate state. I’m downloading the torrent of the Live edition now.
I was looking through the logs this morning and still noticed a lot of requests of this site are being pulled from phpmp.com. While I do have redirectors in place and RSS should still be delivered using the old URL, that will someday change.
I will not be renewing the phpmp.com domain this year, so some time in August I will expect compatibilty to break.

How long have dual layer DVD burners been on the market? I installed a new Lite-On DL DVD burner in the Dimension yesterday and then I drove(25 minute drive) to Best Buy to pick up some media for it.
Lo and behold, dual layer media isn’t out to mass market yet. Figuring they must be nuts, I walked next door to Circuit City to only have it confirmed.
The trip wasn’t a total waste as I picked up a few good deals on some movies I’ve been wanting.
When I got back home, I went on an online foxhunt to find some media. I ended up finding it at Amazon, but dang, this stuff is expensive. Looks like I’ll be waiting awhile before I’m using the new burner to it’s fullest extent.
This morning I woke up feeling anything but fine. I did go to work, but cancelled my morning appointment as I really don’t feel like driving an hour. Now Kaitlyn has the Rotavirus. Poor thing :(. Jennifers spirits seem to be better today as she’s getting over her Rotavirus. And the doctor prescribed some eye drops for Brandon. What a sad household…
There’s so much sickness in my house that we had to cancel Easter yesterday for the kids. Poor Jennifer could not keep anything down. She finally stopped heaving around 8pm last night. My son has something going on with is eye, possibly pink eye. Now tonight, I feel like I got something brewing. My throat is starting to get scratchy.
