Right now I’m pretty mad. I just finished writing an entry(a quite long one), but because it took me so long to write it, my php session expired for my admin side and my own site kicked me out. I couldn’t go back either! All that work – gone!

I have no intentions of re-typing it as it was mostly a rant on how much I hate cell phones and that I’m thinking about getting the Sony Ericsson T637 when I return as a Cingular customer next week.

Yup, I wasted some time here.

Crash Test Dummy Olympics

Sorry. I tried really hard to get one out but they just didn’t happen. I picked up a clip-on style microphone from radio shack early this week with full intentions of doing mobile podcasts using my iRiver to record. Due to many, many problems all the recordings were in one way or another unuasable.

I thought I would finally have a good one today as I recorded while doing a little wardriving. I had about 15 minutes of decent content and when I got home to listen to it the recording was completely unusable.

I know I will figure out the perfect setup for recording in the car with it, I guess I just need more trail and error time. What’s nice with this setup, is when it works, it sounds really good and crisp.

In the middle of October I commented on some podcasts that I’d listen to and mentioned that I didn’t care for The Linux Link Tech Show and I stopped listening to it. Well, a couple of weeks ago I started listening again and have since resubscribed to their feed. I could still do with less belching and eating in the microphone, but the show has grown on me since the first couple I’ve listened to.

If you don’t know their format, they do the show live every Wednesday and stream it to the internet and also record it for archived release which can be downloaded directly or caught in a podcast client. The show is recorded on Wednesdays at 9pm Eastern.

While perusing the Sunday sale papers, I saw the iRiver mp3 player I purchased only 10 days ago advertised $20 dollars less than I paid. Well, after a quick visit to CircuitCity.com, I found that they price guarantee for 30 days and they will refund 110% of the difference. I think $22 is worth the 20 minute drive to Circuit City.

I was going to do a podcast last night after supper but instead we went out and played in the snow. It was worth it. We had fun and my son got to partake in his first snowman building experience. It didn’t take long for him to initiate a snowball fight either. He had a great time and got to stay up 2 hours past his bedtime. He was flat out tired when we finally came in and zonked out quickley.
