The Way Back Machine is cool

Have you ever visited the Way Back Machine? It’s a pretty neat tool. It’s basically a cached history of webpages. It’s been awhile since I checked it out last, but just for giggles I decided to search for phpmp.com and it had a couple of entries from when this site was a couple of months [...]

PHP Architect is coming to print

I just got a letter in the mail informing me that php|architect is coming to print. Up to now it’s only been available in a downloadable PDF format via subscription. While I’m not a current subscriber, I did download an issue they gave away for free. It seemed like a good resource, but I always [...]

Airborne tracking is stupid

Guess what. The server is here. Yesterday when I got home I checked tracking on my server and it showed its current location as Milwaukee. Well, I don’t live in Milwaukee so I figured it would probably be delivered on Monday. I checked it again later and noticed that in addition to it currently being [...]

The Checks in the mail…

Actually it arrived today. $400.00 from our government. If only the girls were born 26 days sooner it would have been a nice fat $1200.00 check. I ain’t complaining though.

Blogathoners

I’ve been out all morning with my son playing down by our lakefront and forgot that the Blogathon was going on today. So now I’m playing catch up reading the 2 blogs I sponsored. Strokes of Genius Wizbang

It called Coppermine, and I must say it’s a pretty slick package. I’ve been user of gallery now for years and it’s suited my needs just fine, however [...]

Severn 9.0.93

Allright, I’m up and running on the latest Redhat beta, codenamed Severn. So far so good. However I had to reload it once because the mouse wasn’t working throught the KVM on the first install. One thing that really sucks is the boot up time. I don’t know if it’s because of the new graphical [...]

Beta Monday

What a great day. This morning we closed on our refinancing which is a whole percentage and a half lower than when we bought. Then I decided to take the rest of the day off to do some house maintenance stuff. Then of all things I read that Redhat has just released their latest beta. [...]
