Why Not!!! Good Luck!
When it comes to grocery shopping, I usually go between 9 and 10 at night. That’s the way I like it. It’s very seldom busy, and I can get in and out with ease. One of the only downfalls sometimes can be that they will only have one checkout lane open, which can really be the pits. Also at night they never have baggers, which is fine, cause I always like to pack my own groceries anyways. Alrght, on with the point.
We went grocery shopping this morning, during normal hours. For starters, it was much busier than I’m used to. So I’m already not liking it very much. Then they got people doing inventory with big stupid carts that take up 3/4 of the isle, which made navigation through the store a chore. Then to top it off, they had about 6 or 7 lanes open all with baggers, even the self-serve isles. So we had to tell the guy to back off and let us pack them ourself. Crazy I tell you!
Never again will I go during the day.
Again, it’s very slow at work, so I was able to spend a good amount of time on the code. I’ve done quite a bit of clean up already, but there’s still alot to go.
I’ve added a few new features also. One is called ‘Save As Draft’, which saves a partial or whole entry that won’t get displayed, allowing the user to come back and work on the entry and a later time, and publishing it when they wish.
There’s still quite a bit of work left before a release will be made, but I hope to be able to provide a demo username and password so everyone can see the backend features.
The current demo is available here: http://myblog.phpmp.com
It’s Sunday morning, and the twins still haven’t arrived yet. I guess it was a false alarm. They say everything is different with while pregnant with twins. I guess they’re right! Which is OK. It’s given me some more time to prepare. And yes, I got the camera, I even got the one I really wanted, the Canon Powershot G3.
So I was going through the mail Saturday, when I come across a piece that looks like a card. When I opened it, 2 crispy one dollar bills came falling out of it. Well, that was interesting. That made me a little interested in reading what the card hard to say. To sum it up, basically it stated, The sometime within the next week I’m going to be contacted via phone to participate in a survey, and the money was an early thank you for helping them out. There was no description as to what the survey would be about.
Well, I say to you, thanks for 2 bucks, but I’m still not going to accept your call.
My Saturday got off to a rough start. Like my usual weekend morning geek sesssions, I had a nice big cup of coffee sitting on my small and cramped desk. As I’m picking it up to take a sip, I bumped the side of my monitor and spill about a quarter cup of coffee on my keyboard and mouse. This was a first for me. So after I finished cussing out my cramped workspace, I cleaned it all up, and proceded on with my day.
Once cleaned and still functioning I started my ‘blog surfing and while reading Scott’s site, read about how he experienced a similar disaster just a day earlier.
Must be something in the air, Scott!!!
My wife who is pregnant with twins informed me today during lunch that her doctor told her that the child birthing process has begun.
Sweet Mercy and Good Gravy! I’m not prepared!!
I’m back at work right now trying to tie up some loose ends as I believe I’ll be out of work for a couple of weeks. I still don’t have my stupid new camera. That’s what I get for waiting to the last minute.
It may be a few days before I post again, unless the I can find WiFi in the hospital! :)
Wish me & my wife luck!!! Bye!
My Tivo has been one of my favorite investments ever. But there’s always been problem with it, being that if I record something on the living room Tivo I have to watch it on the living room Tivo. It’s been the one thing keeping me from buying a second Tivo, and now Tivo is going to be addressing that need.
The new TiVo Home Media Option will allow subscribers to stream music and photos stored on the PC directly to the family TV. With the TiVo remote, subscribers can relax in the living room and view digital photos and listen to digital music that is stored on the PC. Video can be streamed from a TiVo in the bedroom to a TiVo DVR in the living room. The TiVo Home Networking Option will support a number of different digital audio and image formats including JPEG and MP3.
Thank you TiVo!!!
On my way into work, I was listening to my usual morning show, and they were deep into dicussing the new FOX hit, Joe Millionaire.
Their debates brought up a lot of the already known moral issues of a show like this, but they also made an interesting point that I haven’t heard mentioned before.
What if there’s something FOX isn’t telling the viewers. What if the whole $19,000/year thing is a lie or there’s something else about this guy that could be shocking. Just a thought.
